I returned from San Francisco just in time for the world class New York City Maker Faire. This was my second annual journey out to Queens for an astonishing and awe inspiring weekend of creativity and innovation: electronics alive, 3D printing with chocolate (only the Italians), drawing pens with conductive ink, found object percussion performed by GLANK, to name a few.
Children and adults alike were deeply engaged and highly motivated to tinker and make things work. It’s a festival of curious minds- a collection of passionate and budding builders, machine makers, inventors, engineers, artist and others!
This celebration can be easily replicated in your school, community and backyard. Everyone is a maker…just what kind of maker… is up to you!
