Bank Street College and the New York City Department of Education will continue their partnership on behalf of the newly launched Pre-K initiative for four year olds in New York City. Recognizing the tremendous value and success of this past summer’s Pre-K Institute, the DOE-Bank Street partnership is committed to supporting teachers through on-going professional development. As an effort to build onto the foundational work introduced this summer, Bank Street College facilitators are preparing to implement a second professional development workshop titled, Culturally Responsive Practice: Professional Development for Educators.
This area of work is focused on developing culturally competent teachers and culturally responsive learning environments for children and families.
